Reflection #2
Writing The Proposal For My Digital Portfolio
The creation of my digital portfolio proposal was an interesting and such a brainstorming feat. Conceptualizing my ideas and how I will form my digital portfolio was definitely a process that wasn’t easy.
There were many elements that I had to take into account to be able to effectively form the way I want to arrange my digital portfolio. An element of creating the proposal that I felt was particularly challenging was the timeline and planning of it all. Figuring out the times that I will be designing, uploading content, creating the content, development, optimization, etc. was a tedious process to find out when exactly I would approximately be completing these steps for the success of my portfolio. Another challenge was the formation of my presentation for the proposal. Figuring out the organization of how I am going to form the presentation and also taking the aesthetic of it in account was a long process.
My initial ideas for the proposal was an obvious extension basing it off of my ideas for my portfolio. I had an idea of what I would like to include in my portfolio including different works and projects I have done over the years here at WCC. The elements that I wanted to include weren’t the tough part, it was the arrangement of it all and how the portfolio would be created and designed, that was where the difficulty stemmed from. But, I feel that my initial ideas of how I would arrange my portfolio definitely was included in the proposal. I also subsequently ended up appreciating this project to help with my portfolio process.
The result of my digital portfolio and presentation was a tricky process but the outcome was what I had wanted it to be. The many different elements that I had to ponder on and visualize how I wanted to arrange my portfolio was tedious but rewarding. I feel as if after creating the digital portfolio proposal I now have a substantial idea in which I will form my portfolio and hopefully by the end of this course will end up being successful and the way I had envisioned.
